Physical Title Setup
Physical Distribution involves providing a subset quantity of titles and respective formats to our distributor for indie retailers to stock and support our releases. In order to make sure that titles are set-up and delivered as expected to our distributor, we need to adhere to the following.
Manufacturing Considerations as of January 2026:
Tapes can take 4-8 weeks
CDs can take 2-4 weeks
Vinyl can take 10-12 weeks minimum, and is a much more involved process
Key Deadlines for Physical Distribution:
12-11 Weeks Out: Release information, setup materials, and assets are provided to Connor for review to then pass on to Symphonic
10 Weeks Out: Release information, setup materials, and assets must be submitted by Symphonic
4 Weeks Out: Copies need to be at Symphonic Warehouse
2 Weeks Out: Be sure to share with CS/Symphonic any other important marketing information
Physical Title Setup Spreadsheet
Setup Steps Include:
Determine Unit Price
Determine Quantity to Ship to Warehouse
Marketing Driver Sheet
Assign a UPC/Barcode to each Variant
Physical One-Sheet
Review Submission and Warehouse Deadlines and Set Street Date for Copies to be Available at Stores
Recommendation: Put some buffer between when manfuacturing is complete and when you plan for records to make it to the warehouse so that items arrive on time. Work with your manufacturer(s) to get a realistic expectation of when products are ready so that you do not accidentally commit to an unnattainable target street date.
Crafted Sounds completes AMPED Setup Sheet on Behalf of Artist/Label and submits to Symphonic
Guidance From Symphonic: Please try provide title setup information and assets at least a few days earlier than the published deadline. A week early would be even better. That way we'll have time to make any needed adjustments before the submission is finalized.
