Digital Title Setup

When you are ready to start talking about an upcoming release, reference the Release Calendar, and let us know what you are thinking so we can get a Google Drive folder made and begin gathering assets.

The following needs to be provided 6 weeks ahead of anticipated release date to finalize and commit to a digital release date for anticipated titles.

See Symphonic's Guidelines and suggestions on single spacing/submission from our distro rep for context:

We recommend sending releases 4-6 weeks in advance to account for any possible delays. This timeframe allows for proper vetting and marketing efforts to increase visibility and potential features on DSPs. It's important to follow the release creation upload guide when creating your releases to ensure that all your release metadata is correctly entered prior to submission.

A "title" can be a single, EP, LP, compilation, etc. If we are working with singles leading up to a LP or EP, we request that we have single and full project files submitted at same time so that we can set expectations with distributor and get moving on physical production when applicable. It is best practice to show our partners the roadmap of a release when submitting assets so they are aligned from the start of our campaign.

It is recommend by Symphonic to provide spacing of at least 4 weeks between singles:

IF there is physical involved, manufacturing times vary based on format. To coordinate physical with digital we ask that physical artwork is finalized before we select and commit to release dates (digital + physical). We also request MASTER audio files specific to vinyl, CD, and tape format. Generally speaking we are fine with digital masters for tape since things are going to get distorted a bit with that format as it is.
